Above is me, on the front steps in the Colony House.  George Washington once stood on those same steps.

Well last night was the Simply Raw made its debut on the big screen to a crowd of close to 200 people.  Unfortunetly, I was unable to view the documentary since my services were needed elsewhere.  Friends, Glen and Lisa helped out as we served over 100 people immediately following the film.  We would serve fresh vegetable sushi, breads and crackers with guacamole and cheezy spread.  Sliced raw veggies where also on the table with a fine sampling of chocolate from Rawvolution.

When the doors opened at 7:30, the fun began.  A full house approached the food with great anticipation to see what could possibly be eaten on a raw food diet.  I would say at least 80% of the people where completely new to the raw diet concept.  Questions flowed as freely as the wine, and at times it was a bit difficult to keep up with the food, while trying to breakdown the raw movement at the same time.

I really had a blast and planted a few seeds here in there.  One women with type 2 diabetes was so thrilled to see that there is hope.  Another couple where also excited to move further up the spectrum of diet from cooked to raw vegan.

The crowd continued to circle the food and savour every last bit until about 9:30. But before all guests where out the door, Glen broke out a durian and put some awkward smiles on peoples faces! After about 30 minutes of cleanup, it was finally time to head back home.  Lisa and Glen were quick to catch up on rest, while I listened to Cold Roses and reflected on my day.

I am excited to see what comes of the documentary.  In mid summer, producers of the film will begin a month long tour by hosting many viewings throughout the country.
