After experiencing 30 turns around the sun, I have finally found myself at a place in my life where I feel a great sense of wellness.

I began my adolescent years as a vibrant child, spending time in the woods and playing sports all the time with my friends. Baseball was certainly my favorite pastime. After my pre-teen years, however, my love for sports declined and my interests turned towards music and parties. Exercise was almost completely eliminated from my life, and my body slowly became sluggish and weighed down-literally.

After high school, I found myself falling even deeper into a numbed and unhealthy lifestyle. I had been accepted to the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. The five years spent studying at culinary school gave me a strong background in food preparation, but I still felt as though there should have been more to life. My experience in school was followed by a period of 5 years back in my home town of Branford, Connecticut. With constant trips to the bar and late nights of partying, I had given up on myself and was far removed from”the good life”. My struggle to find happiness drew me away from the ones I loved and found me struggling to smile.
My life took a beautiful turn on March 25th 2006.  While attending the Expo West Food Show in Anaheim, California, I was fortunate enough to meet David Wolfe, one of the leading authority in raw foods.  His vibrancy and knowledge of food was amazing.  Over night I decided to give up meat, dairy, coffee, and cigarettes.  Within days my energy soared, my weight declined, and my entire outlook on life was different.
Choosing to live a raw-vegan lifestyle was by far the greatest decisions I have ever made.  Two years later, I am 50 lbs lighter and am in the best shape of my life.  I have brought my health to a point where I am currently training to run the Vermont 100 mile endurance run in July 2008.  I know now that it is part of my life purpose to help heal this planet and empower people to make better choices to feel and look their best.
Many Blessings To You

Literally just ran across your website. Great intro! As I am learning more about raw foods I am inspired by stories of others who have turned the corner from poisoning our bodies (alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, soda, junk food/processed food).
Looking forward to following your journey!

Just came across your website. Very inspiring. I am 31 and going through the process of eating mostly raw, and all that entails! Detox, where to find organic, growing my own, criticism from others, and coming face to face with lots of buried emotions! You seem to be really enjoying life, what an inspiration your story is! Have you thought of starting a raw food restaurant since you are already a chef?

Nice website. Very interesting. I think your about page says it all. I think most people like myself are in the same situation, thinking what else am I here for? It takes dedication to get to where you are and that is very inspiring. Congratulations on your journey!

Frank, you are so inspiring! I remember connecting with you on rawfood web site in ‘06. I’ve been raw for 3 years but had some ups and downs. I had a health crisis and went on meds for a couple of months and gained weight and felt sluggish.. stopped exercising. I’m back on my feet again! It’s a hard lifestyle. But people like you help. Thanks!! It was really special of you to reach out back in ‘06. It’s nice to see your success…
